Mother's Day in the Bush

All Heather wanted to do for her day was get out and camp in the bush; we were ever so happy to oblige. We headed off to the high desert of Oregon to a place called Jordan Craters. It was all it was advertised as...lots of lava, volcanic cones and miles of trails to puff out the biggest of kids.

We had a lot of fun over the weekend just spending time with family, but more importantly, taking a break from the farm! Hot dogs on sticks, roasted lamb and smores! A little Australian wine from VIC also helped set the evening BBQ.

We are letting folks know that we bought our tickets back to OZ, arriving September 18th in Brisbane (Bodie is giving a talk on the 22-23), then flying to Victoria on September 28th. We don't have to leave until October 9th, so we are just looking forward to a nice holiday with friends and who knows what else!

Cheers for now!

i also had a wonderful Mothers day, albeit an early start as Lachie had to play footy at 9am in town. It was wonderful to see Lyn, Jenny and boys come to watch Lachie play his 50th game, he was chosen to flip the coin, kicked 2 goals, got one of the best on ground and they topped it off with thier first win for the day. Nikiah cooked me some beautiful scones in the afternoon but i was also the lucky one who had to clean up and remember to remove them from the oven???? But the taste was worth it. the pressies were wonderful, all bought froom the Eppalock mothers day stall of course but all exactly what i needed.
Glad to see Heather got exactly what she wanted for mom's day, the photos look great and really depict the wonderful time you all had together.
Love to all Wendy
