Down to 10 days and trying to squeeze a bit of everything in. We finally took in our first live Cricket game as well as a footy game at the Telstra Dome in Melbourne (via the V-Line train from Bendigo no less). We also had dinner with the Bendigo Mayor two nights ago for International Students Night (Mad, Bren, Cam and their Principal, Mrs. Robinson). Bodie was also honored by the US Ambassador and US Consul General in Melbourne for his work with the US Embassy and Consulate General's Office for orchestrating the US deployment for the Victorian fires. While these are truly fun to take in with folks, just makes us realize what great friends we've made.......hangin' on to them tight until the end!
We have 4 farewell dinners scheduled before we leave: CFA-Mosquito Creek tomorrow night, DSE-CFA/Melbourne Wednesday night, Bendigo/Eppalock Primary next Friday and a community/friends night next Saturday. We are applying for jobs over here left and right. Running down a dream!
