Saying Goodbye to Mosquito Creek Fire Brigade

We knew the beginning of our farewell tour might be one of the toughest. But it really doesn't matter, they all will be tough.

Captain Bill Warne and the rest Mozzie Creek Brigade toasted us with a nice BBQ and then a very warm awards banquet not only for Bodie but the entire family. The Captain also had us over for a farewell dinner last night with our good friends the Gallaghers. The fat lady is singing unfortunately.

Awards Friday night included a certificate, shirts, hats, stubbie cooler, mozzie creek window stickers ( vehicles back in the states) and a very nice Mozzie Creek flag that will be displayed quite proudly in Kuna, Idaho, USA.

The photos show some of the night's festivities as well as a recap from our past few months with the brigade. Without question, joining the Bridade was one of the highlights both professionally and personally for Bodie (and us). And yes, Bodie had a fire call-out Saturday night just to finish off his assignment with a bang!
