Dad finally got to put some fire to the bush today. Legally this time. Mom reckons he's got the bug back. Dad was one of three people putting fire into the bush today (using what are called drip torches) in front of concerned homeowners, media personnel and curious Department of Sustainability and the Environment fire staff. Curious from the standpoint of wanting to see if a Yank had any issues burning in the bush. He thinks they were impressed......the spot fires were easily contained and should be classified as over-achievement (according to Dad). Gave all a bit of a start though, as you could see the column from downtown Bendigo.....just like a good burn should (according, once again, to Dad). Bye for now. Love, Brendan.
