Contrary to popular belief, this has nothing to do with AFL Hawthorne and Carlton's poor showings here of late.......the last 17 games to be exact. But it was time to bring to a close the namesake hogs, Carlton and Hawthorne. After raising them from 25 kilo pigs, each had recently topped 130 kilos each. As we had planned all along, we brought their show to an end last week. Hawthorne and Carlton brought us much joy, in polar opposition to their AFL counterparts. Heather, Maddy, Bren and Cam picked up over 200 kilos of pork yesterday. We hope their sacrifice will bring about soulful change with the Blues and Hawks. The Hawks actually did beat the Cats, however, Captain Bill had something to do with the outcome!
Here's to our little porkers Carlton and Hawthorne: Go Hawks and Blues!
