Bodie helped out the DSE staff today by manning their booth at the 2008 Elmore Field Days. Elmore is about 45 kilometers north of Bendigo. Just like old times for Bodie, except 8,000 miles away from the Jefferson County Fair in Madras, Oregon (and no Texas Bob!). Heather and the kids joined halfway though the day and helped Dad quite a bit at the booth. All then ventured out and explored the festivities. Among many things, Heather and the kids secured new/additional sun hats, they then learned about what it feels like to pull dung beetles out of their "homes" and let them crawl on each of them....and then the highlight, at least for Heather, was to meet a tiger snake. The snake performed so admirably, we were persuaded to purchase a beauty of a snake bite kit. A great day attended by many and it really made us feel at home with all the John Deere's and other down home country girls and boys!
