Visit to Adelaide, South Australia

The fast-paced tour/work schedule continued this week with a 1,500 kilometer round trip in a car to Adelaide, South Australia. Bodie spoke at the Australasian Fire Authorities Council/Bushfire Cooperative Research Centre annual conference. Over 1,200 delagates and Bodie received many invites for visits across Australia and New Zealand. He would like to get out and visit and secure US agreements...as well as do a bit of burning in the bush!

The kids and I toured around central Adelaide and took in galleries, museums, markets and a zoo. It was a lot of fun. Adelaide is a beautiful city, known predominately for its wine and food industry, and has a population of 1.2 million. The size of this town made it even more interesting to drive on the wrong side of the road! Before we left town, we visited Glenelg on the gulf of St. Vincent; beautiful beaches, but a bit cool. This is the first week of Spring in Australia.
